Amazon.com to Barack: You Are a Socialist, We’ve proven it!

Our lives are open books in this internet age. Things we do are archived somewhere and in some fashion. There is a well known website and service owned by Amazon.com that is called The Wayback Machine. It is also called the Internet Archives. What this site does is you can type in any url even from the beginnings of the internet, and see what that site looked like at various times. All of this can be done by you and at anytime. The site is always up and you can see what Yahoo looked like when it began, or Google or any site.

Or perhaps maybe the website of the socialist party called The New Party that Obama is still denying he was a member of. Hmmm….

The Information Obama Wishes Amazon Didn’t Have. That you now have with Direct Links!

What the internet archive also has are those nasty pages that many people want forgotten. Barack Obama has been denying for quite sometime ( along with the Democratic Socialists of America) that he was ever a member of the New Party, a socialist party in Illinois. Well guess what?

He was a member and the internet archive shows it all. He cannot run from archived history. The facts and all of this will be exploding onto the scene in days. Keep in mind that the media will try to bury this info as it does it’s best to get Obama elected. They are well situated to not only make up news as Dan Rather did with his fake news stories on Bush that actually got him fired. They are even better situated to omit and not tell you what is going on. I’m here to tell you that in this internet age this is impossible.

Socialist Barack Obama

Let’s call a Socialist a Socialist, shall we! Here we go…

Anything that follows we gladly tell you to look up yourself, as the left is doing it’s best to make you think Obama is just a regular guy. He is in fact a Socialist and as we know, these people say anything to get into power. They will lie, cheat and steal. Even now Obama is denying that he was a member of this glorious little socialist party called The New Party. Which was a creation of the Democratic Socialists of America.

From the October 1996 Update of the DSA ‘New Party’:
“New Party members are busy knocking on doors, hammering down lawn signs, and phoning voters to support NP candidates this fall. Here are some of our key races…

Illinois: Three NP-members won Democratic primaries last Spring and face off against Republican opponents on election day: Danny Davis (U.S. House), Barack Obama (State Senate) and Patricia Martin (Cook County Judiciary).”

You can find the above quote from the scrubbed New Party web page at this Internet Archive Organization link. More confirmation of Obama’s membership in the New Party can be found at an article in the November 1996 Progressive Populist magazine:

New Party members and supported candidates won 16 of 23 races, including an at-large race for the Little Rock, Ark., City Council, a seat on the county board for Little Rock and the school board for Prince George’s County, Md. Chicago is sending the first New Party member to Congress, as Danny Davis, who ran as a Democrat, won an overwhelming 85% victory. New Party member Barack Obama was uncontested for a State Senate seat from Chicago.

The Democratic Socialist Party of America also reported on Obama’s New Party membership in its July/August 1996 edition:

The Chicago New Party is increasely becoming a viable political organization that can make a different in Chicago politics. It is crucial for a political organization to have a solid infrastructure and visible results in its political program. The New Party has continued to solidify this base.

First, in relation to its infrastructure, the NP’s membership has increased since January ‘95 from 225 to 440. National membership has increased from 5700 in December ‘95 to 7000. Currently the NP’s fiscal balance is $7,000 and receives an average of $450/month is sustainer donations.

Secondly, the NP’s ‘96 Political Program has been enormously successful with 3 of 4 endorsed candidates winning electoral primaries. All four candidates attended the NP membership meeting on April 11th to express their gratitude. Danny Davis, winner in the 7th Congressional District, invited NPers to join his Campaign Steering Committee. Patricia Martin, who won the race for Judge in 7th Subcircuit Court, explained that due to the NP she was able to network and get experienced advice from progressives like Davis. Barack Obama, victor in the 13th State Senate District, encouraged NPers to join in his task forces on Voter Education and Voter Registration. The lone loser was Willie Delgado, in the 3rd Illinois House District. Although Delgado received 45% of the vote, he lost by only 800 votes. Delgado commented that it was due to the NP volunteers that he carried the 32nd Ward. Delgado emphasized that he will remain a visible community activist in Humbolt Park. He will conduct four Immigration workshops and encouraged NP activists to get involved.

Kudos to Politically Drunk On Power for digging up this information about Obama’s membership in the socialist New Party. The question now is if the MSM will deem his party membership important enough to report on. They sure didn’t hesitate to report on Todd Palin’s membership in the Alaska Independence Party.

We are truly living in dangerous times

The mainstream media is doing it’s best to convince us all that Barack is just some regular guy. We now know better. He rants on how he can help save our financial system (which he helped to cause the meltdown with his vote to force banks to lend money to high risk individuals). Is this not funny even in some small way? Did you know Barack also was employed by a law firm that sued banks like Citibank to lend more money to people who couldn’t afford it and were at high risk? See the video linked below.

See this article and watch the video. It explains exactly how Obama and the Democrats are responsible for the financial meltdown.

The election is right around the corner.

My fellow Americans, please think before you elect a Socialist who is outright lying about being one, to the highest office in the land. We the people of the United States are not friends of socialism. We love freedom, the free market and the ability to live our lives the way we see fit. We don’t want to ‘Share the Wealth’ as Obama says. Notice how these people always want to share ‘your’ wealth.

Every program Obama lies about, inside the lie you can see the socialist yearning for power over your life. Even his health care program would see fines levied against anyone who doesn’t go along with his schemes.

The Media Now Breaking Socialist Story

This election is truly a question of Freedom vs. Obama. Please choose wisely. We the people of this great nation do not need someone who is lying about being a socialist, as our leader.

“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism, but under the name of liberalism they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program until one day America will be a socialist nation without ever knowing how it happened.”

Norman Thomas said this, American socialist, and one of the founders of the ACLU as well as 3 time Presidential candidate as a Socialist right here in the USA.

Please, please think before you vote this election. For our children, for the free market and freedom. Vote McCain, clearly the lesser of two evils hands down no contest. At least he is a patriot and not disguising himself in sheets of lies.

Pass it on, your children’s future is now at stake.

See the video at FACT: Obama & The Democrats Caused Financial Meltdown. It will help you understand how we got into the mess we are in now.

Joe The Plumber From tonights debate interviewed on FOX. Click below. Both McCain and Obama talked about him a few times each. You’ll love this.

Its funny how the candidate that didn’t support the nationalization of the two largest morgage brokers in the country and the massive bailout package is being acused of being a socialist, but this administration and McCain are not.

    4. Shakeszilla | Oct 15, 2008 | Reply   MyAvatars 0.2

One more thing, the idea that Obama’s vote caused banks to lend to high-risk families is ridiculous. The banks WANTED to lend to these individuals because risk didn’t matter during the housing bubble. They could turn around and sell the bad loan right away and turn a profit before it defaulted. It was the inflated rating companies like moodys that let these loans be sold way above their value, and when they all eventually defaulted, the morgatge brokers were left holding the bag.

Oh my God, this guy is way over the top. How the hell did he think he could get away with lying about being a Socialist?
Shakezilla- You didn’t see this video obviously. If you watch it you will completely understand why in fact Obama and the Democrats are responsible for forcing banks to make sub-prime loans, guaranteed by Fannie Mae. See the video in this article http://www.earthfrisk.com/blog/?p=100
There’s a lot of info in it so get ready.
The video I just saw. The one with Joe the Plumber from tonights debate was cool. See how he calls Obama a Socialist. Makes sense since now there’s proof of him being in a Socialist Party just a few years ago. It was cool seeing who this guy was. I watched the debate tonight and Obama got his ass kicked in. He seems far less Presidential and less knowledgable, as well as lying in a few areas. I’m voting for Mcain. Every word out of Obama’s mouth is socialistic. Not for me and it’s not for America.
Sorry to Z above who seems to like Socialsm, or progressive. Let’s review what socialism is. Socialism refers to a broad set of economic theories of social organization advocating state or collective ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods, and the creation of an egalitarian society.[1][2] Modern socialism originated in the late nineteenth-century working class political movement. Karl Marx posited that socialism would be achieved via class struggle and a proletarian revolution which represents the transitional stage between capitalism and communism.[3][4]
      Wikpedia page is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socialism
Who the hell wants that? Are you people out of your mind? Obama is a Socialist, wake the fuck up. Sometimes I think I might have smack some peopel in the head on this. Socialism is evil. It is anti-human. My money is my money. Fuck Obama.

    6. Agnostic Libertarian | Oct 15, 2008 | Reply   MyAvatars 0.2

Shakes. You’re either slightly retarded, or a bit drunk. The fact that he voted for it doesn’t mean he caused it all by his lonesome, it just means he was the part of the problem. And sure, some members of the banking industry wanted to lend to the high risk crowd, allowing justification for interest rates that soared above what could be considered highway robbery. Other institutions didn’t.

And he did support the bailout, as well as McCain. He’s not just being accused of being a socialist, there’s concrete evidence that he was a member of a socialist party. He’s being proven to be a socialist, not accused of it.

Karen. So, anyone who dissents from the Messiah is a racist? You’re ignorant, and should either eugenically cleanse yourself or at least disallow yourself from voicing your opinion in a public forum.

      Z. Socialists are Progressives now? Go back to school.

This post represents the best in political blogging. You dug up irrefutable facts that won’t be talked about by mainstream media and presented them.

If further proof of the truth and effectiveness of this post is required, look no further than the comments. When liberals call you stupid and racist (as in the first two comments) it indicates you’ve hit them where it hurts and they have no credible answer.

Well done! I’m subscribing to this blog’s feed. I also gave it a “thumbs up” and positive review on StumbleUpon.

BTW, where do you get your angry liberal readers like “srsly?” I want some for my blog too.

Face it: The man has no experience governing, his character is sorely lacking as is his character. Being a junior senator and community organizer is hardly worthy of leading the greatest country in the world. Obama didn’t back the two failed housing orgs? He didn’t want them to be further regulated based on his voting record. And he sure as hell didn’t abscond from taking their millions in campaign contributions. Yet, he wants to tax the hell out of Americans who work hard for their money and give that to social programs that have created a welfare state in this country. I doubt many Americans would vote for a man who couldn’t even pass an FBI background check. And you want him as our President? Good Grief. More often than not, when a Dem has been elected POTUS, it has been a debacle. Carter’s inability to rescue fellow Americans held captive at our USEMB in Tehran to a broken old man who’s hobnobbing with Hamas and former elements of the PLO (talking doesn’t work, Jimmah. But they still don’t get it. Don’t you get it? But the day after President Reagan came into office, the terrorists released our people. Look how poorly your Democratic-controlled Congress has made good on their campaign promises. Obama represented ACORN (research it for the details of how woefully bad their agenda is) too and now they’re finally being investigated for fraudulently registering voters in 13 states. Obama was a member of a segregationist-spewing church for 20 years and he didn’t realize it? Riiiiigghhht. Give me a break. His associations with domestic terrorist Bill Ayers and his questionably behaving ~Reverend~ Wright, and their ilk are enough for a thinking voter to realize he’s not the man for the job. Even Martin Luther King’s son endorses McCain and instead of Obama, but nearly everyone who supports Obama calls anyone who doesn’t a racist. Weak and poor response. The man is not worthy of my vote, plain and simple because he doesn’t represent what we feel our President should be and do. But in typical fashion, the main stream (liberal) media will look the other way and push their agenda. The upside is, even if Obama is elected, America can weather his what are sure to be four years of lack of leadership and probable embarrassments. Isn’t it funny how those who are ~more tolerant~ than conservatives resort to name-calling?

Just ask yourself, your family, your co-worker, and do it now. Ask ” Would you vote for a socialist who is lying about being one? The answer that 80% of Americans will give is NO.
If you are going to do anything for this country, at the very least e-mail this article to EVERYONE you know, tell every co-worker.
Obama is a wolf in sheeps clothing, he is lying about being a socialist and has the media fully behind him.
It’s time someone stands up for this country don’t you think! Tell everyone about this link and spread the word. I already have two Obama supporters switching sides right in my office.

It Works! My two deskmates, both Democrats said Obama was not a socialist and was just ‘caring’ of other people. I asked them both, if I could prove to them that Barack was lying about his membeship in a socialist party that wants to end private property ownership, they said no way. I showed them this article and doubt creeped in. ‘No fuckin way’ one said.
This is how we defeat Obama. If the media takes days to catch on like they will since they really don’t want McCain in, hell we’ll spread it now.
If you are reading this, send it to relatives and friends. Americans universally detest socialism and when now we can prove Barack is not only lying to us about being a socialist, and lying about being in this specific party, well then now the American people will turn on his socialist ass quicker than shit flies through a goose. And so it begins.
Thumb this baby up on Stumbleupon, throw it up on Digg, Reddit, Fark, everything everywhere. We must tell people, Our very lives and freedom hangs in the balance.

First of all you claim this election is about “Freedom vs Obama”

I am sick and tired of people saying America is a free country.

What do people mean by that?

We are not free from government. We have to have permission for everything from fishing to starting a business.

We are not free from taxes, we all have to pay taxes for things we don’t agree with.

We don’t even have the freedom of choice regarding the things we are allowed to put into our bodies. For instance, a person is not allowed to use cannabis in this country even though all objective scientific research has found it to be less harmful than caffeine.

Did you see the protesters being arrested and having tear gas shot into crowds at the RNC?
Did you see the independent journalists being detained without being given any sort of reason?

Everything we do and say on the internet is copied over to the pentagon.

In what way are we a free nation?

Don’t you think a non-free nation would tell their people they are free too? Or do you think some countries have slogans like “Home of the slaves”

So no, we are not a free nation to begin with.

Secondly, socialism is not about taking away freedom it is about fair wealth distribution.
Socialism doesn’t really mean anything in a country that already practices wealth re-distribution through taxes.

A socialist president would simply mean more taxes.

And thirdly, you are trying to make it sound like Obama and McCain are so far apart from each other in their policies and plans.

Both candidates want to continue endless wars, both plan to continue taxing us for things we don’t agree on, both of them backed the “failout” of 2008.

Their differences are so minute that you need a magnifying glass to see them.

While we sit here arguing about republicans and democrats we miss important things, and don’t talk about important things.

What is important is that each person needs to recognize that most people want good things to happen for everybody from the government.

We need to stop bickering about this crap and focus on the fact that 1,000,000,000+ human beings have died as a result of our invasion of Iraq.

What political objective do you think is worth 1,000,000,000 lives?

I don’t think there is any sort of way to rationalize it.

I guess you Obamamunists are unmoved by the list of real freedom loving leaders abroad who hope that your Marxist champion is elected. Fidel Castro, Akmendajad, Hugo Chavez, Bill Ayers et al…..all have stated they hope this socialist is elected. It is now apparent that you supporters of this Marxist are ignoring, even trading this long term disastrous influence this will have on our lives and are children for what you have been sold to be a quick fix solution to our economic woes. Woes which in large part, perhaps even by design, were initiated by Obamaunists, i.e. threatened law suits for not lowering loan qualification standards et al.

Guess, I will work 6 hour days and take 60 day holidays and the government can pay for that by adding $3.00 taxes to a gallon of fuel. Afterall, if Europeans can pay $7.00 for a gallon of gas, so should we. With your Obamamunist mentality, it’s a sure bet that he will only be in office for one term.

Imagine all the crazy things your man has done that the Horrid Media Machine (Fox) is keeping quiet. This nation is not as simple and truthful as it once was; perhaps some young blood and fresh eyes will find solutions that 40-some old white men have not been able to change - because they have never had anything to lose - only their pockets to line even more; maybe a few more houses to buy.

Does anyone else feel that if McCain is elected and he and his Christ puppet are put in that maybe it has cycled through and maybe it is time to go back to England… because really, all they are doing is inciting violence and rallying their biggots… It is time to grow up and drop all the pettiness you were raised with - it is easy to see who is ready to lead - and it ain’t the grumpy old man and the crazy lady.

They may be pushing our poor and handicapped to the back of the line, but this country is extremely generous with tax revenues. The problem is excessive spending, lobbyists, and the billions and billions of dollars it takes to buy the White House. We need reform, not more taxes.

Aroleflin, for your information, socialism, marxism, lenninism, and communism are NOT all the same. The idea of true communism was introduced and practiced thousands of years ago in the city-state of Athens. Plato’s REPUBLIC is a consideration of a communist state. All other “ism”s are mere breeds of the original concept; twisted and maneuvered to best gain support in their own time and place.

You live in representative democracy. If you don’t see that you live in a country that embraces socialist ideals (in practice if not in name) then you are deluding yourself. Gov’t retirement(social security), public education, student grants, Disability, are just a few examples. Your neocon fear and suspicion for this word stems from the fear your parents felt when being told that goddless commies were coming to steal their jobs, children, and their way of life. The truth is that the US never fought the USSR on a philosophical level, it was a struggle for financial control on a global level, an institutional imperialism that has birthed this “global market” we all have been hearing so much about. So the next time you run out with a noose and a shotgun, take a look at who manufactured the rope in your hand and you’ll see where the hearts of your beloved right leaders live: China.

Obama is a multi-millionaire…what makes you think he’s for the poor folks? And why doesn’t he ever mention his father? It’s always, “My mother was alone and broke. She had to get food stamps.” But you never hear Obama talk about his father putting him through Muslim school.

That’s because the media is controlled by a select few. Think about it, back in the 1970’s there were over 170 independently owned newspapers. Now, there are 5, 3 of which are owned by Rupert Murdoch.

Yeah, that’s a real democracy there.

Um … New Party is left Democrat or what could be described as Social Democrat. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_democrat

In general, contemporary social democrats support:

      * A mixed economy consisting mainly of private enterprise, but with government owned or subsidized programs of education, healthcare, child care and related services for all citizens.
      * Government bodies that regulate private enterprise in the interests of workers, consumers and fair competition.
      * Advocacy of fair trade over free trade.
      * An extensive system of social security (although usually not to the extent advocated by democratic socialists or other socialist groups), with the stated goal of counteracting the effects of poverty and insuring the citizens against loss of income following illness, unemployment or retirement.
      * Moderate to high levels of taxation (through a value-added and/or progressive taxation system) to fund government expenditure.

Social democrats also tend to support:

      * Environmental protection laws (although not always to the extent advocated by Greens), such as combating global warming and increasing alternative energy funding.
      * Support for immigration and multiculturalism.
      * A secular and progressive social policy, although this varies markedly in degree.
      * A foreign policy supporting the promotion of democracy, the protection of human rights and where possible, effective multilateralism.
      * As well as human rights, social democrats also support social rights, civil rights and civil liberties.

      Ooh, scary, huh?

Oh, and btw, the USPS is not a private enterprise — The United States Postal Service (USPS) is an independent establishment of the executive branch of the United States government (see 39 U.S.C. § 201) responsible for providing postal service in the US.

18 days until this country elects Barack Hussein Obama through a democratic election. I cannot wait!

I’m voting for the honest, presidential man with a few socialistic tendencies.

I see this as a much better alternative to the fascist dictatorship Heir McCain has to offer. He and Palin are out whipping up Nationalistic feelings right now, and Exxon John has a long history of making sure his corporate buddies are well taken care of.

John Sidney McCain III is a fascist.

Didn’t anybody ever tell you not to throw stones in glass houses?

You neo-cons keep your heads stuck in the sand. Your fears are giving us this election. That, and Barack Hussein Obamas inherent awesomeness.

Mostly your childish fears, though. :)

      Have a GREAT day!

Although I am a registered democrat, I will not vote for barrack hussein obama or any other democrat candidate down ticket this election cycle. I question obamas integrity, obamas character, obamas judgment, obamas associations, obama’s black power racist ideology, obamas socialist/marxist background. I cannot relate to obama in any fashion. We come from two vastly different ideologies, and have opposing political views. obama has continuously refused to produce a legal birth certificate. obama has failed to fill in far to many blanks in his resume for me to vote for him. obama has to many shady and racist anti American associations. My vote will go to McCain, a vote that is for America, for the foundation and principals she was founded upon, and as such, is a repudiation of the fraud and liar known (at this time) as barrack hussein obama. You all should be more worried about fascism than socialism methinks. Even if obama is a socialist, this country would not turn that way and it will be nice to not have some overly greedy corrupt capitalists controlling our government. I personally do not support him because I do not support the democratic party but anyone voting for mccain at this point is either rich, racist, or brainwashed because the guy is just a mess. But all in all, america, this is your fault. These are the people you vote in. The “joe the plumbers” of the world shouldn’t be leading it. Shouldn’t a leader be someone who is intelligent based on their actual..you know… intelligence, and not their financial success? Your money is your money? Humanity is more important. No one is going to ask you give away all your money. It’s just a sad state of affairs that people who are well off have to be forced to be decent human beings.

Honestly, I’m sure that preaching to the choir is satisfying on some i-prefer-not-to-be-challenged-by-other-ideas-too-much level but what the hell do you really think Obama’s going to do that will destroy America any more than it already is? He’s the freaking poster child for the American Dream and what one individual can achieve through hard work. So is McCain. So is Bill Gates. So is Warren Buffet…blah blah blah.

Let’s consider a few thoughts from great thinkers of humanity from years gone by for a moment.

“Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.”
      Benjamin Franklin

      US Patriot Act Anyone?

“A tyrant must put on the appearance of uncommon devotion to religion. Subjects are less apprehensive of illegal treatment from a ruler whom they consider god-fearing and pious. On the other hand, they do less easily move against him, believing that he has the gods on his side.”
      Aristotle

      Philosopher or Prophet?

“When the tyrant has disposed of foreign enemies by conquest or treaty, and there is nothing more to fear from them, then he is always stirring up some war or other, in order that the people may require a leader.”
      Plato

Dictatorship naturally arises out of democracy, and the most aggravated form of tyranny and slavery out of the most extreme liberty.
      Plato

Now, let us examine why we are Americans to begin with. The essential basis for the revolutionary war with the British had more to do with the central banking model than anything else. to drag another quote to light..
“I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs.”
      Thomas Jefferson,
In short, England refused to acknowledge the fair money system developed by the colonies instead requiring we rely on the British Royal Bank, to borrow money, at interest from the very people who create the money. So if you are forced to borrow money to use as currency from the very people who CREATE the money, how can you ever pay that money back? It is a clever system that can only lead to debt and slavery. There is no way out. Our forefathers knew this. Repeatedly throughout our history we have rebelled against the central banking model until it was finally sprung upon a generation so far removed from enlightenment and education that they accepted it. Bear in mind that the Federal Reserve Bank is about as Federal as Federal Express. It is a private institution. Which amazingly enough, creates our money, and loans it to the government, at interest creating a never ending debt cycle. With the introduction of the Federal Reserve Act came another unconstitutional attack on Americans. It is known as The Federal Income Tax. Because this tax is unappropriated, it is not designated for a specific cause, by the basis our founding fathers created our great country on makes this an illegal tax. And there is no law REQUIRING payment of it. If you would argue that without taxes government maintained services provided to us would falter. You would almost be right unless you look at the fact that all luxuries and services we enjoy have their own APPROPRIATED taxes assigned to them. The main purpose of income tax is to repay the debt created by the central bank loaning us our currency. Our current economical meltdown is yet another orchestrated attack on Americans by private banking interests. The first major one was known as the Great Depression. Manipulation of the American people allowed The Fed to shut down most small banks chains and buy them up for a pittance, consolidating their base of power. Sound familiar? We are watching this happen again. The same banking interests that have forced our nation into several wars throughout each and every Americans’ lifetimes solely for the purpose of their own profit. Here are some other things you should be aware of that have been occurring behind the smokescreen of this “War on Terror”
*THE MODEL STATE EMERGENCY HEALTH POWER ACT.
      *H.R 2977
      *JOHN WARNER DEFENSE AUTHORIZATION ACT
      *MILITARY COMMISSION ACT
      *REX 84
      *OPERATION GARDEN PLOT
      *PROJECT MEGIDDO
      *H.R 3162

What does this mean to you? It means that whoever gets behind the wheel after GW leaves office has in his power the ability to take complete control of this country and bypass essential parts of our constitution. I’m not sure where you may stand on this thought, but I can honestly say it scares the beejesus out of me. Now, personally I can handle a progressive black man with socialist tendencies holding this power. What scares me is a fascist like McBush with absolute power. Furthermore one has to look strongly at his running mate because statistically speaking McCain at 72 has a 1 in 3 chance of dying of natural causes before his term is up. A good reason to worry is very carefully documented in a blog by Greta Christina which can be found at http://blog.blowfish.com/culture/greta-christina-the-obligatory-sarah-palin-column-or-why-i-dont-care-about-a-pregnant-17-year-old/842 . She has done a very good job citing her research in links within the body of her blog and making the point of why the prospect of President Palin is terrifying. It is time we got mad about the RIGHT things. Let go of the socially constructed ideas of race. Let go of the powerful propaganda that forces usto bicker and quarrel over pettiness. Divided we are easily controlled and this incessant in fighting keeps us from realizing the true nature of things and truly growing as a nation. It is the yoke we wear while blinded by the entertainment industry. Watch, look, listen, don’t think is the motto and they are doing a damn good job diverting our eyes from the truth. Respect the humanity shared by all, because in the end, we all rise or fall together as Humans.

Will you fight before confiscation or wait until the fight is incredibly hard when only Obama’s goons are armed like Chavez’s goons) and the ystart assaulting people. They are already doing it to anyone who says anything good or in support of McCain at McCain rallies. Google it. Shit this country is starting to sound like Hitler’s Germany in 1932. Like someone else on this site that said, to arms, to arms, Obama is comng. I think it is far easier to e-mail every relative you know now, throw up on every bulletin board. Tell everyone and their mothers. We had a tupperware/lingerie party last night and out of 35 people there, 20 were Republicans voting for Bush, and the rest for Obama. After our discussion on all of this and the lie after lie being helped by the media, I am proud to say that McCain’s voters went up to 31 votes, and only 4 for Obama. I know this might sound racist, but surprisingly or not, all 4 are African American. Regardless of beign a socialist or not, African Americans are voting for Obama no matter what. Is this not racist by the way? Just asking everyone here. If 95% of white people were voting for McCain, truly then one might say and it would be hard to deny that maybe racism was involved. What about when African Americans are doing it? I saw this video that someone else posted here on the Howard Stern Show. Watch this. He has a theory of why Obama’s supporters are so set in voting for him. Issues matter not, even if you tell an Obama supporters that his VP is Palin, the answers wll crack you up. I know this is funny so look at this first. http://newsbusters.org/blogs/noel-sheppard/2008/10/13/howard-stern-exposes-why-so-many-people-support-obama click the audio/video and you will laugh your ass off I promise you.

As an independent voter (4 votes dem, 4 votes republican last 8 elections) here’s my concerns. McCain is nobody’s favorite. For me, the last straw was ethanol - a bogus government program that inflates prices and pollution, and only the most jaded politician could vote for it, and here comes McCain, switching positions to curry favor from some farmers against all the scientific data.

      However…
Obama, whom I had great hopes for, has proven that he will toss anyone that is inconvenient to him. Let’s face it - he lies about his pastor (oh, yeah, he’s been sleeping for 20 years, and didn’t know about what Rev. Wright said) - only the most fervent believer could bypass that piece of bull. He lies about Ayers and others - this is Chicago, after all.

But, above all - he has no experience, no past, nothing of any consequence other than the Editor of the Law Review. Whoopee! No articles though. No bills while a legislator. Nothing while a Senator. The only way someone can argue for him is to say “Well, so and so is worse!” in some manner, which is a childish rebuttal (yeah, well Tommy is TWICE as bad) - not worth the thought.

I, like others, want to hear why he is qualified to be president! Not why McCain or Palin isn’t. Clearly, they have a track record - and one that can be disputed - not some inconsequential background with no achievements. They have done things. Palin has an 86% approval rating! Anyone who denigrates that is so completely out of touch with political reality that it’s frightening.

Show me what Obama has done! Change? Anything can be change. Robbing the working people is change. Emulating Jimmy Carter is change. But not for the better.

And just what is the definition of “middle class”? I am guessing that it’s anyone earning less the $40K per year. You see, everyone thinks that they are middle class - that’s why Obama uses it. If they said “we are going to tax people earning more that $40,000 per year” I think that some people might object. I just want to hear Obama’s definition of where middle class starts and stops.

If I had to guess, the Democrat party has decided to “one up” the Republican party by putting someone on the ticket that is completely unqualified, AND has no track record! The perfect MTV candidate! He looks good! He sounds good! He promises everything to everyone, and nothing to anyone, and by golly, he’ll keep that promise, unless he can’t! He is supported by singers and actors, that well-known re-hab’d brain trust that the American public follows so blindly.

Obama has nothing to examine, because there is nothing there, and if someone digs deeper, well, it’s because he’s a RACIST! That’ll stop guilty whites in their tracks. Even classmates don’t remember anything about him.

What is the mystery is that he’s considered seriously at all. Think about it. 95% of blacks say that they will vote for him. Is that racist? If 95% of whites were voting for McCain, I am pretty sure that it would be all over the media as THE racial divide. Pretending that it’s not so will not make it anything less than what it is. Remember the unofficial primary slogan against Hillary - “Bro’s before Ho’s”? Yep, that’s someone that’s earned my vote. Someone snap their fingers and wake us all up, please!

wow, after reading the majority of the comments here i feel i must say something.

      1. it is true that America is not a completely free market.
      2. America is trending away from free market and capitalistic principles.
      3. capitalism isn’t perfect…
“We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry, would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”
      — John Adams
“freedom” can only exist when citizens “play by the rules”. when you neighbor wakes you up at 2 am with is rock band practicing in his driveway…curfew laws are introduced, thus degrading each citizens “rights”.

      4. i agree that humans should not let other humans starve, that humans should have access to clean water, food, etc…but i do not see this as the governments role.

      5. if the government will hand me pleasant shelter, tasty food and drink…why would i bother to wake u at 6am and do any work? this is the failing of any type of socialism. when “good” living conditions are free, no one will work. then when no one will be able to pay into the welfare system…and the system will have no funds to distribute food, clothing, etc.

      6. power attracts the power hungry, socialist and capitalist both. and the power hungry make very poor leaders.

7.i realize that i have little to no hope of changing anyone’s opinion. i do not take a firm stand on either candidate since (point 6) neither have my trust. but i hope that the debate on these national issues can be conducted in a civilized manner. they are important, they should be discussed, but it would be most helpful if the personal and extreme attacks could be reigned in.

also, in college position papers you are required to cite your sources, i think this would help readers form accurate conclusions. until readers are convinced of the accuracy and truth of the various statements, you will not modify their opinions.

      best wishes to all.

I love that we still say “socialism” as if it was a synonym of “pure, godless, evil.” Plenty of European countries run semi-socialist governments that have a higher average quality of life than we do. Both socialism and capitalism are flawed. Different methods are needed at different times. Capitalism leads to just as many human rights violations as communism does. We just ship ours to South America or Malaysia.

It’s shocking how polarized people let themselves get. If you listen to the arguments from both sides you hear the same exact arguments. Like how both are paranoid about what the media is covering up in order to get either McCain or Obama elected. There is so much fear. And there should be because the USA is clearly in demise, but it’s all part of a big cycle. Life is not black and white, it’s a zillion shades of gray. Despite our general reverence for science as a culture, we don’t seem capable as humans to really think rationally. If you look at it rationally, and listen, really listen with a cool head to both sides it eventually becomes obvious that being able to be well-informed enough (and that means actually knowing whether your sources are reliable which is impossible by itself) to actually make the best decision is an impossibly vast data gathering task. We are all just doing the best we can, using our best judgement. But if we villify those who disagree with us we are simply creating more hate, misunderstanding, and ill will in the world. Sure you have your feelings about your position, but are you mature and sober enough to show actual curiousity when you are presented with new information. And regardless, from where do you derive your certainty in anything?

This is ridiculous, guys. We already practice “redistribution of wealth” and have since the graduated income tax was instituted early last century. As many others have pointed out, many sectors of the economy are already nationalized and have been for some time. You need to understand that “socialism”, like everything else, is a matter of degree. There is no clear boundary line between it and capitalism, and being a “socialist” means nothing more than accepting a strong role for the government in education, health, and other areas. If you want to live in a purely capitalist country, good luck finding one, because this already isn’t it.

It is quite amusing to see the ignorant and vulgar comments left by liberals. If we don’t support Obama, then we are racist?!? Well my friends I am not racist, I am intelligent and well informed of the major issues surrounding our great nation. None of them will be corrected by Obama’s big government and free-spending programs. Not to mention the fact that he is less than truthful about a host of issues. I’ll go drink my Kool-Aid now, right after I take off my white hood.

I have to ask… So what’s wrong with socialism? It guarantees all people generally the same benefits as the wealthy. Is that so wrong? Oh, right, who ever said people were born equal? Right, we’re only just numbers worth economic value. Never-mind the worth of sentient beings.

And if you think Mccain is going to be any different then Bush you’d better get your head on straight. The idiot driven masked rhetoric spewed to the “right” america doesn’t jive too well with people who see past it. In fact what’s humorous is not so much the over use of “Joe six pack” turned “Joe the plumber” by Mccain and Palin as if the other majority (see the polls) of America doesn’t see it. (i don’t know if i should be more insulted by such patronization) Not to say that Obama is perfect, but i suppose the reality of what’s happening couldn’t get worse- unless if Bush senior had gotten his way and destroyed term limits, and Reagen could have been made more into a god.

What i want to know is… if Mccain and Palin would try to destroy “minimum wage” like their Bush Jr..

I guess being a “ignorant” liberal as i am, i tend to try to more fact driven, then rhetoric driven… But you can’t argue with a group of people or government that still uses the bible to swear on for affairs. (see separation of church and state).

The claim that Obama worked for a company that sued banks is not the same thing as him filing a law suit. Companies are responsible for the actions of the employees, unless he was a VP he is not responsible for the actions of the company. I worked at McDonald’s as a child. Therefore, I worked for a company that served a band aid to countless people in their sandwiches. Not really evidence of anything.

Luckily we all made copies of everything. :) it was only down for about 20- minutes. I really thought Obama’s people somehow got to it. It is still there for all to see and make Obama cruige with fear. Tell all what is going on and we can not only save the election, but the country. Don’t expect others to just do it. YOU tell everyone now.

A thorough examination of the men and women involved in the presidential race (Mc Cain, Biden, Palin, and Obama) seems to reveal that we are not electing a president on the basis of strong points, but on the lesser of two evils. Both of these men have their faults; however, Mc Cain clearly has more experience running government and will probably stand for some principles rather than saying what it takes to get elected. Also, liberals are supposedly the party of inclusion; however, McCain is the one who saw fit to include a woman on his ticket (probably because she was the most qualified - not because she is a woman). You guys can sling around crap and accusations (false or not) but I want to go with the established (whether ok with you or not).

To suggest that we all know Obama would be the Democratic nominee way back when he was running for State Senate in Illinois is just retarded. To think in 1996 we planted evidence on a socialist site telling how Obama was a member ( which he is still denying by the way) is so ridiculous that is borders on insanity to even suggest that.

Wrong. The New party is not a socialist one. They are social democratic. The “party” which was actually more of an organization was defunct in the 90’s. Their main idea is to promote electoral fusion. They are not socialist/Marxist. Once again:

Socialism- a theory or system of social organization that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of production and EQUAL distribution of capital.

Mixed Economy: an economy in which there are elements of both public and private enterprise.

Maybe this comment will be posted. The reason this isn’t all over the news is because only a Republican is naive enough to believe it. Your site is crap and has no credibility.

to preface, this is directed to both liberals and conservatives.
i don’t know why this stuff continues to frustrate me. its been going on since our government was created. you all believe what you believe and always will, nothing is going to change your mind, and when any article or piece of propaganda that agrees with your “ideals” lands in your e-mail box sent by some dumbass relative or co-worker without a clue what said article even means, you worship it as scripture and send it out to all your co-workers and relatives and, in turn, become the one in the same with the mindless propaganda senders. you love it because it re-affirms your beliefs and makes you feel as “brilliant” as the unemployed idiot who sent it. you sit and read it while masturbating and fist pump with your free hand and say “yes, yes, i’ve thought this for so long! finally, someone as brilliant and informed as me!!!!” then you vote who you were going to vote for all along. you change no one’s mind in the process, all you do is look like an outspoken, ignorant asshole.
back when you became interested in politics because it was so hip and you wanted to impress your peers, you chose one ideal that you held in high regard, be it abortion, gay rights, immigration, whatever. you then chose the side of our wonderfully mind-numbing bipartisan system that adhered to that one belief or ideal. you subsequently adopted all of the principles that this chosen side stood for and called yourself a full-fledged conservative/liberal.
this is what you claim, but the rest of us just call you “that guy/girl who thinks he/she is really political but doesn’t know his/her earhole from his/her asshole.”
we get it. its fashionable to be outspoken about politics. i’m sure all of you who wrote “OMGGGG WE HAVE TO GET OUT AND SPREAD THE WORD!!! AHHHHH!!” are going to go shout it from the mountain tops and plan super-intelligent and tactful ways to tell people this sweet, newfound piece of intel. no….no you won’t. you’ll go to a bar and drunkenly force a garbled series of thoughts that vaguely outline some points made herein on unwilling, but polite bar goers who will later refer to you as the aforementioned “guy/girl who thinks he/she is really political but doesn’t know his/her earhole from his/her asshole.”
people don’t like to be around you. whenever people like you are around me, i sweep their leg.
so the point of all this is that if you come around me spouting your nonsense, prepare for a leg sweep. warning issued.

      WISE WORDS
During this political season, whether you’re a Republican, Democrat, Independent or whatever, let’s be reminded of these wise words.

You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.

You cannot help small men by tearing down big men.

You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.

You cannot lift the wage-earner by pulling down the wage-payer.

You cannot help the poor man by destroying the rich.

You cannot keep out of trouble by spending more than your income.

You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.

You cannot establish security on borrowed money.

You cannot build character and courage by taking away men’s initiative and independence.

You cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they could and should do for themselves.

….. William Boetcker (1873-1962) — (quote often attributed to Abraham Lincoln)

That is all that can be looked at for him because he has no record of accomplishing anything. You need to stop and ask yourself, “Who is pushing this man to power when he has no record of true service or even employment?” If he becomes president, it will be the longest job he’s ever held. He’s a sham, a prop for socialists to use and terrorists to associate with. Shame on you for selling out America. You’ll be the first to whine when things aren’t going your way or your money is being given to those who sit on their behind and do nothing. I pray for this country and that it is still standing after November 4th. I love and thank God daily for our freedoms. Think before you vote!!

Socialism…such a scary word. Folks, it’s not 1963 anymore, everyone knows communism doesn’t work, and no one of any consequence in the American political system thinks that is the direction we should go.

So why are we so scared of a word like socialism that whispering it about a political figure set people into a panic. If Obama was a “socialist,” and actually believed in it’s ideology, why hide it? If it was a “secret socialist plot to take away your freedoms,” then why even belong to the NP? Wouldn’t it be easier to simply keep your ideas to yourself instead of incurring the political liability?

Many small parties take credit for members, associations and supporters that in actuality have nothing to do with them. Perhaps you remember an AK Gov. with ties to a successionary party. Those accusation disappeared quickly enough, as they should have. So why does an accusation of socialism have longer legs?

Most of Europe has very socialist leanings for many economic and social systems. People living in London, Paris, or Munich are not oppressed or exploited. It’s not Oceania, and no one is hiding from big brother. In fact, they live pretty much the same lives as we do, except the poor can still receive the same level medical attention as everyone else. But cold war fears still run rampant, and most American don’t know any differences between Marxism, socialism or communism. It’s all one in the same and all evil to them.

The real problem is that we, on both sides, become so fixated on a “straw men” that we are not paying attention to what matters, policy. If you don’t like McCain’s budget and tax cuts, attack that not how many homes he owns. If you don’t like Obama’s health care plan, attack that not accusal of socialism.

Even if I disagree with you position and think it is irrelevant, you still put in the time and research needed to bring this point to the public’s attention, so thank you.

Also, for the record, Dan Rather was not responsible for the story that got him fired. The failure to detect the forged documents lies with the copy editors, producers, and writers that work behind the seines. Rather was just the most visible part of the network and so became a scapegoat. The documents, and resulting bad story were the acts of an angry citizen and not a vast left-wing conspiracy. Trust me, we are far to disorganized to mount a conspiracy. :)

People who believe that the government needs to redistribute the wealth are the ones without compassion.

When I give from the heart I feel connected to the cause. If the giving (more like stealing) is mechanically done through the government it takes away that compassionate connection.

Why do you think that conservatives constantly out donate socialists? Socialists think that charity is mechanical and thereby have no real compassion.

And now he attacks Obama for voting the exact same way he did?

Let’s get things straight. Neither of these candidates would be my dream candidate, but at least with McCain I knew his principles are a bit more closer to mine and straightforward even though I don’t agree with each belief.

I do not agree with bailing out, but I also do not agree with the way Congress pushed Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to pursue these “opportunity” loans and then also pushed banks to sell them or lose out. I purchased my home only when I had money down (20%), my eyes were wide open about the overall market for homes, and have faithfully made my payments on a fixed rate mortgage without expecting anyone to help me. I do not expect the balance of my loan to go down unless I am making my payments, I do not expect my interest rate to go down unless I would honestly refinance, and I do not want to have anyone taxing me more when I get a raise.

For those that think that I must be in the higher brackets, NO! I am in the 15% bracket, but feel that if I get a better job or higher pay, I shouldn’t have to pay the government more. That is redistribution of wealth, and it is socialism! I also feel that it is my responsibility to help others through charitable contributions to church, schools, community, and individuals, whether or not I get a tax deduction for it.

Those are just a few of the reasons I will not vote for Obama/Biden. When it is taken from you what you should volunteer, it is no longer free will, and no longer espouses the reason that we became a country.

It seems there is a clear and respectable difference between those that do not mind “socialistic” tendencies and those that despise them. Our country has serious issues with poverty and unemployment. But putting a band-aid on the problem will not fix it. There is a long haul solution, that is instill, in Americans, the very attributes that made America a great country. Hard work, independence, community, etc… Those in dire need of “government help” can make it easier to be helped if they stick to the principles the founding fathers had when determining our country.
